Hi, Bev! Sorry I'm a few hundred kilometers away from you; I'm in NB.

There is a guy looking to start a support group in TO. If you look in the Newly Diagnosed and FAQ's section, you'll find a topic titled Interested in a Toronto Support Group. He's a little closer to you than I am. But we can still chat if you want. :)

I think there's a support group in Ottawa. I got a notification a year or so ago asking if I wanted to join, but as I'm in Toronto, it was a little far. You should be able to get the information from the pdsa.

Me, Bev? I was diagnosed in /04 after a hysterectomy. Had my spleen out in /06, which worked well for less than a month. Finally got off the pred last Dec. Did Rituxan in Sept./Oct of last year and it seems to have helped. My last regular blood test, it had dropped quite a bit, so my fd wanted me to have another test; it hadn't gone up much. My next test is on the 18 of Sept. Hoping it went back up.
