Here in my neck of the woods, there are things going on all day; face painting for the kids, giant flea market, entertainment and a giant birthday cake. Tonight, there will be fireworks, if the weather holds.

same here in Calgary, our community had a bash this afternoon. I was going to be a participant (a clown)when my d-in-law went into labour so had the little grandson all afternoon and is still with us. Waiting to hear from my son with great Canada Day news. I am so excited !! Christine :)
