Another Major Earthquake Has Hit Christchurch NZ

Just over two hours ago another major earthquake has hit Christchurch. This time it was in the middle of the day as opposed to the early morning of the previous one - so there has been a much greater impact with early reports of multiple fatalities and many injuries.

Please keep all those affected in your thoughts and prayers at this time as the recovery process unfolds. This is devastating for the people of Christchurch, who were only just starting to re-build after the last earthquake on September 4th last year.

It's been such a crazy summer. My thoughts go out to our neighbours in NZ.
I do hope next summer will be easier, especially on the many people who have endured repeated devastation.
I just can't imagine having just started on the recovery to then have it all over again.

I've just watched some news footage. Horrifying. I do hope they manage to rescue those who are trapped in the building that is burning. Will be watching and praying.

Thank you Sally and Lauren, your prayers are highly valued.

There have been 65 deaths confirmed and the Prime Minister has said to expect further bad news in the morning. Many people are still trapped in buildings. Some of the news footage has been pretty sobering, very tragic.
