I think a whole lot of people have been glued to their TV's the past few weeks--notice the drop-off in traffic here? The paper says it broke records for Olympic viewership!

Bravo, Canada! And US! ;)

It would be too un-Canadian of me not to watch the Olympics right here in my own country! Yes, it would have been nice to be there in person, but I saw so much more here at home. I wasn't totally happy with the coverage, tho, too much chatter and not enough sports. Canada broke 2 records with these games; the most Gold medals won by any home country and I think the most medals of any games for us. But I will admit, I'm glad to have regular tv back!

Congrats to the US for their 36 medals!

I was very disappointed not to see the US men's hockey team say thank you for their Silver medals. No offense meant here, guys! Just an observation. When the Women got their medals, just about everyone of them said thank you.

I think 75% of the dutch population where glued to their tv during the whole Sven Kramer drama.. I'll admit.. I had to cry.. If it's the medicine or if I'm just an emotional weirdo but it made me cry.. :P

I never really watched the Olympics but this year I watched almost everything!! I thought it was great!! :cheer:

I watched as much of it as possible, it was great! I loved Simon Aaman the Swiss ski jumper, the Ice Hockey (agree with Cindy) the USA hockey team as i expect they were very dissapointed to loose the Gold but the best team won in the end and what is so bad about winning the Silver & saying thanks.
I loved the Ski cross freestyle! did anyone see that? The crashes! Wow!

I'm ashamed to say... I watched the opening ceremonies... and then I was too busy/ too tired to watch anything else! I caught a few news clips, and bits of games, and I did book mark the medal table and kept track. I finally watched a game - on the last day not realizing until that morning the olympics were over! :( Sad..... but glad I saw the epicness that is Sid Crosby's Gold Score!>..... Boo ya!!...I think it was great.... if we had just won it would have been nice but fogergetable... thanks to the last minute US score... noone will forget that for years.... or ever :)

Gotta love that hockey!!!!! The men's was extremely stressful, could have gone either way. The Canadian women caught drinking beer made my day!!! yupp Canadian women can also like their beer. I think it was natural to let loose and be young and celebrate.

Side note. I miss seeing the Countries with our usernames.

Hey Tortie - I've been to the PLC Spa a couple more times since we met so I guess I just missed you or you didn't need treatment. Had a great time with the nurses last time cos it was the Olympics - shouting "hurry Hard" when trying to get to the "you know where" while fastened to an IV! :) :) :)

that's hilarious!!!!! Well..... I've also been a few times. I was wondering how you were doing and if you found this new site. Are your counts getting any better?
So I decided to do the splenectomy, I can't handle getting jabbed every 2 weeks for IV's. So I'm not happy about it, just trying to accept and hope I get a break from treatment.

Maybe I'll see you next week.
