Hi all,
We finished our harvest (export hay, wheat, barley, lentils) last night. It has been a long, drawn out affair due to weather issues. However, we are very grateful for the good results, considering drought in the West & floods in the East.
Today, 31st, we are bracing ourselves for 43C (109F)! State on high alert for bush fires. (Hard for me to comprehend the winter conditions many of you are experiencing!)
I have watered garden, done shopping & am staying indoors! Friends have other arrangements, so it will be a quiet NYE for us, unless it cools sufficiently to have a celebratory picnic on the beach.

MJ, I can't imagine a NYE over 100 degrees F. Stay cool from chilly MN (where we can't believe it is raining after about 30 inches of snow this month).

Happy New Year Everyone!! Is there anyone on the forum that lives in a country that will celebrate the New Year before New Zealand? We have only twelve hours and six minutes till 2011 arrives!:P :) :lol:

It's here! 2011 is here! It is all of one hour and sixteen minutes old here in NZ. We beat you all to it!:laugh:

The New Year was brought in with a spectacular fireworks display from the Auckland SkyTower.

@ Years ago we were in the Hospital because of unstoppable nose bleeds. Its good to be Home Sweet Home this time. :)
