Christmas In Your Part Of The World?

Christmas In Your Part Of The World? was created by snowgoose
How is Christmas celebrated in your part of the world? I live in New Zealand, and Christmas is in the middle of Summer. I have never experienced a white Christmas. Christmas is almost always a hot, humid day here.

Last night we drove around looking at Christmas lights, we saw many very good lighting displays on the houses in nearby neighbourhoods. But the biggest one of all was the home of my hairdresser who starts decorating in March each year!!! It was amazing! Wall to wall to floor Christmas!

The house with the display that I liked the best, was not overdone, in fact it was very simple. A small stable had been built on the front lawn, and someone with great artistic flair had lovingly painted cut outs of Joseph, Mary, Baby Jesus and a sheep and donkey. A star shone from an upstairs window, and there were three wise men nearby in the garden.

I like this Christmas display the most as it a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas - the gift of God's greatest gift to us - His Son.

I pray that we may all know His love, peace, hope and forgivness this Christmas and always.

Merry Christmas to all my PDSA friends.

Love Vanessa

Vanessa, we'll be having a "green" Christmas. There's no snow on the ground at all. In fact, we've had very little all winter.

My parents and sister and family will be joining us for Christmas dinner tomorrow. We'll deliver our presents to everyone this afternoon and then come home and relax. I'm actually done everything this year. All I have left to do, is tidy the house a bit.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Merry Christmas Nessa,
We are having a Very wet one but it's a nice change from the usual heat and humidity. We'll be sharing lunch at the local city farm with a variety of 'interesting' people. Tomorrow we fly to Melbourne for my mother's 80th - wet there too!
Wishing all a peaceful and joyous festive season.

Well, I'm from Wisconsin, so Christmas is very white! I'm a little jealous of your heat and humidity [ i don't like the cold!] but there's not too many things more beautiful than snow on trees :D.
My family is divorced, so I'm going to the respective family get togethers. Lots of good food, and good fun!

Merry Christmas!!!!
