I thought about Yvonne/bonbon recently, and I'm not sure if I'm not recognising some names.

Do we have a lot of new people here?

The Country under the name helped me recognise some people as well.

Who else are we missing????? And who changed their name????? :silly:

I think there's a lot missing from the other site! I hope they do get switched. I don't find this site too bad to maneuver around.

Yeah, there are a lot missing. I used to be able to keep track of everyone, but there are so many now.

I think Yvonne did make it here, but I don't know where she's been.

Hi, just to let you know Chot's fine, i talk to her on Facebook. I think she's had enough for the moment, Trev's had a bit of a time with huge doses of IVIG to see if it works so he can get his hip done. It didn't do diddly squat for his counts and made him quite ill. They are coming upto lambing season too so they will be non stop.
Im sure i saw Plopper on here too but it does seem to be a while ago.

I'm not on your list of missing...but I went back and found you all missing. I decided to keep my old user name, even though it may mistake me for a Jeff rather than a Jean.
Hope you all have been well. I have been on a typical ITP roll from the60's to 30's.

Thanks for the update on Chot. Hopefully when she feels like it she will let us know how Trev is. She is a trooper. I hope we hear from Plopper and others from the old board.

I'm here! I've been reading more than posting, but I'm here and doing well. No N-Plate for over a year. counts holding at 400K or so.

Hi Jill,
I am so glad you posted and to hear the wonderful news that NPlate is working for you. I responded marginally to NPlate. Counts were in the 20-40 range and then suddenly back to 8 or 9. I opted for a splenectomy April 1st and so far so good.

If I remember correctly, she has checked in, but it's been a while. I think she said she was busy at a new job and hubby was taking care of the boys. I've been thinking about her too.

It's really great to see all the old members and great to have all the new ones!

Not sure if anyone was looking for me but I've been gone a few months as well. I had a total knee replacement 4 weeks ago and then got a new computer. Between the 2 things, I was gone a while! 1 week after the TKR, my platelet count was inexplicably 193,000. My hematologist joked I should have surgery more often!

Diagnosed with ITP 9/14/1980, the day oldest son was born, & it continued through the births of my other 2 sons and continues now! No treatments until March 2011 when I had a TKR and my count decided to plunge. Sons now almost 25-30. My spleen's still with me.

I'm here this is Dj..I had to use a different log in name...trying to figure out the new board. Still in remission now for a year w/the help of Promacta in May/June of 2009. Counts were in the 400's last week. Have noticed some changes in my muscles, bruising etc. maybe old age....HA! I hope everyone is doing good.

It's pretty weird..I haven't felt right since the Promacta. I feel like I'm in a fog my memory is shot..but the worst part is the cronic pains in my joints and legs. Really strange..the brusing is a little hard to discribe but it's seems deeper, with a harder center and then it takes a while for it to go away. I take an aspirin a day since I had the strokes in 2005 after they took out my spleen. I'm going to see an echonoligist (?) spelling in June..maybe she can help me find out some answers.

DJ I hope you can get some answers. I took Promacta for a few months and it had no effect to increase the platelets but I didn't have any side effects either. I am so glad you are posting.
