PDSA Hosted its 26th Annual ITP Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah
In 2026, PDSA welcomed patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to its 26th annual update on immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), the ITP community's premier event for education, support, and connection. The in-person conference took place at The Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City July 24–26.
Photo Recap
Each year, the ITP conference provides opportunities to hear the latest information about ITP, meet others who are coping and living with ITP and receive answers to your medical questions. Attendees also have the opportunity to engage with PDSA’s Medical Advisors, who are among the most experienced ITP doctors in the world.
In addition to the educational program and social events, PDSA’s conference features several small group sessions that give attendees an opportunity to get to know other patients and caregivers in an intimate environment. We also offer dedicated programming for different age groups, including Kids Kamp, a fun and engaging program for children ages 5–12, as well as a separate track designed specifically for teens and young adults.
Topics Included:
- What’s New and What’s Next in ITP Treatment
- Can My ITP Be Cured?
- Living With ITP: Your General Health and Wellness
- When Should I Consider a Clinical Trial?
- Support for Navigating Young Adulthood With ITP
- Living With ITP: Communicating With Your Healthcare Team in the Era of Advanced Technology

- and much more!
Saturday Night Fun Event
One of the highlights of every PDSA conference is the Saturday evening fun event, which gives attendees of all ages an opportunity to relax and connect with others in the ITP community outside of the educational sessions.
This year's Monte Carlo Night featured classic casino games, live entertainment, refreshing Swig drinks (a local favorite), and freshly made churros. Filled with laughter, conversation, and a little friendly competition, the evening was a memorable highlight of the weekend.
Couldn’t be with us in Salt Lake City? While nothing quite compares to connecting in person, PDSA is pleased to share select informational conference highlights for our members virtually in September for ITP Awareness Month, and our quarterly newsletter, The Platelet News.
Save The Date!
PDSA’s next annual ITP Conference will take place in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 23-25, 2027. We can’t wait to bring the ITP community together for another unforgettable weekend of education, connection, and support. Stay tuned for more details!
