My best friend is stil virgin & she is having ITP . Doctors says that she can not have sex or get pregnant! Is there any way for her to spend a normal life?

Your friend needs a new doctor. I think most of us have sex with ITP and many have gotten pregnant, there is a whole folder for pregnant ITP people discussions. There are some medical considerations - for example are you taking any medications that might not be safe for getting pregnant, can you keep your count high enough to deliver.

Rest assured, your friend can have a normal life. Most people have sex with ITP but if counts are very low (like under 10k), they may have to use their judgement and wait until counts are a bit higher, but counts can usually be raised with treatment.

Many women have babies while having ITP and are managed by doctors who know what they are doing. Again, counts can usually be raised for a normal, successful delivery.

Has your friend tried treating?

Although ITP can be chronic, it rarely remains severe. Treatment or sometimes just time and patience typically results in a remission during which counts are more than adequate to engage in virtually all activities, up to and including sex, pregnancy, and normal childbirth. With effective treatment, which may require a new doctor, your friend should be able to have a normal life. What are your friend's current counts, history with ITP, and other medical issues?
