Not bad.. 23..same as last week. I was hanging around 11-14 for two months, so it's nice to see it go up and stay up... But fasting can change numbers, so we'll see in another week or two. (not that I'm eating again)
But at any rate..platelets or no platelets... I feel amazing! :D

Now that I'm eating?.. Or when I was fasting?
Eating now: I don't count calories... I just eat healthy (aka no sugar, salt, oil, meat) and my body takes care of the rest.
Fasting: None.. you're just drinking water... You're body goes into ketosis and burns muscle for fuel while it's detoxing

I am reading Dr Fuhrmans book on Fasting and want to warn everyone with ITP that he says fasting lowers platelet aggregation. I also read that people who practiced Ramadam fasting had lower platelets as a result of the fast.

i have also read that fasting lowers platelet aggregation. it does so apparently by clearing the blood of fatty molecules that make platelets sticky. also, a number of healthful foods like, garlic, blueberries, and spices like cinnamon and tumeric are very potent at preventing aggregation.
so actually, if you're taking plavix, you could do a three day fast then eat lots of garlic, blueberries, cinnamon etc and stop the plavix so you wont have to suffer the serious side effects that the lawyers are now advertising on tv to sue the manufactuer.
'course, that'd break the profit cycle.
