Lady Elly Offline Posts: 128 Thank you received: 11	Thanks for your reply. I haven't been on predisone since 2010. But I do have low platelets since 2011. I have not taken any treatments for I.T.P. since Nov. 2011, so they stay low. The back pain has been bothering me a lot the last few days. Thought it might be low platelets, so had some blood test run and doctor did not find anything in the blood test.

ITP gets blamed for a lot but I can't imagine it causing back pain.

I've had back pain since diagnosis but it was from:
1)kidney stones [believe me that pain is something you don't forget and know you need help immediately !]
2) rotating some disks and sacrum from shoveling snow
3) a cyst in my spine

You know something is wrong if you have back pain and you need to see your doctor to get it figured out!
