As some of you know, I started my ITP nearly a year ago when I a had a 9K in a routine check up with no bleeding. After some weeks on Pred I got a 4 days 100mg Dex last december. From there (apart from 100 days of Dapsone) I didnt use again Dex or any other medication or treatment. My counts oscillate between 30 K to 50 K. I wish I get it a bit higher.
Might a new Dex Pulse make it? How many dex pulse can we have a year to be on the safe side?
Thanks once again for lisening. To your tips are very much appreciated.
Just off hand I can't recall anyone ever having more than 4, or maybe 5 pulses, in a row. I've not heard of a yearly limit. If you do 4 pulses and it does nothing long term, wouldn't see a reason to do it again. If it does help, doctor may be ok with it as often as you want. I dunno.
It is really unfortunate that Dapsone didn't work out.
