Has anyone had IVIG prior to the Covid Vaccine?
My platelets jump around and I had the first Covid Vaccine, but they dropped ( probably unrelated, because they are all over the place) and I am scheduled for the 2nd Vaccine, but had IVIG this week.

I don't have an answer regarding the Covid vax specifically but my son was told not to delay his regular vaccines for 11 moths after the last dose of IVIG. Have you asked your hematologist?

Yes good question to ask your doctor. Here is what the CDC says about Ivig/intravenous immunoglobulin and the covid vaccines-
www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/info-by-product/clinical-considerations.html

For persons receiving antibody therapies not specific to COVID-19 treatment (e.g., intravenous immunoglobulin, RhoGAM), administration of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines either simultaneously with or at any interval before or after receipt of an antibody-containing product is unlikely to substantially impair development of a protective antibody response. Thus, there is no recommended minimum interval between other antibody therapies (i.e., those that are not specific to COVID-19 treatment) and mRNA COVID-19 vaccination.

Thank you so much. I am so relieved to read this. My hematologist thought it was ok. I actually had not read this particular article.
