Hello All,
I have a bit of unusual situation. My son just kicked me in the eye with his foot ( I was tickling him). I wore glasses at that moment. My son is 13, so it was full force hit of the youngster:). My platelet's count was 50 three days ago. I had two glasses of wine yesterday. I am confused when I should be worried and go to ER in this situations. I decided not to go, though it hurts badly and my eyebrow is swollen. When would you go to the doctor to check for the head hemorrhages?

Thank you in advance!

Better to get checked and told there's nothing wrong than to find out there is/was an issue. I think you should probably go to the hospital.
Good luck and let us know how you make out.

NK - when in doubt check it out! I fell, missed a curb, on January 16, 2018 about 1.30pm - the left side of my head hit a planter [can't recall if was flag stone or what but it was SOLID] and I broke my shoulder. Ambulance to the ED - CT was done and I didn't have a brain bleed thankfully, wound required 3 or 4 staples to close & it bled like a stuck pig!

My ex brother in law, non-ITPer, fell and hit his head on the tile kitchen floor and he walked around with a brain bleed for a few week before he went to the doctor.

A friend, another non-ITPer, recently fell but doesn't remember how it happened, ended up in CCU, then ICU, then rehab - no outward sign at all for the very bad brain bleed but he was found passed out on the floor.

So you know - why worry yourself just go in either to the ED or give your doctor a call, even at night if he/she isn't on call there is a doctor on call who can help you.

Good luck!
