Hi everyone. What is your IPF%? (IPF is immature platelet count, or reticulated. They're new baby platelets that turn into adults from what I understand)

I have no idea. I went through eight years of up and down counts and that never even came into the equation as part of the platelet problem equation.

Slightly abnormal results on a CBC are generally nothing to worry about.

IPF is a test that can help sort out whether there is a problem with platelet destruction or with bone marrow production. What was/is your IPF?

Seems like its more useful for people who have gone through chemotherapy and have low platelets due to bone marrow issues. I wouldn't do a platelet transfusion for ITP so probably the IPF% wouldn't be that useful. I haven't seen those lab numbers but since I'm on NPlate it would likely be high because of lots of new platelets.
