As you know my spouse is having ITP with sable count of 100k for last 8 years( never had any treatment)
Now he is prediabetics . I want to try natural/ food method to reduce his blood sugar to normal.
I want to try plant base products named “withania coagulans” or another one called “bitter gourd” to reduce his blood sugar to normal range. I googled it but does not found any negative information about effect (lowering) on platlet counts.
My question is does anyone tried these plant products to reduce blood sugar level ?.
Can he consume these plant product in less quantity without negatively effecting his blood platlet count??
Please suggest ..
God bless you

It's hard to say if those supplements would cause a platelet drop. There may be an additive in those that could cause a problem, or the supplement itself could. It's unlikely, but there is no guarantee.
Changing diet to prevent diabetes is great! If you're concerned about the supplements, there are diets to try that do not involve the use of supplements.
So I started preparing recipe of “bitter gourd” for my spouse. After he was diagnosed with ITP i completely stopped serving him “ bitter gourd” along with meal for more than 5 years
But now occasionally he eats and no difference in platelets. Another annual blood test coming In August....
Hope this info may help someone.
