Never ceases to amaze me how men feel dreadful with a cold where as women just get on with life.

Funny mrsb, but true

They say if you take anything your cold will last 7 days - if you don't take anything your cold will last a week.

I take some extra vitamin C if feel bad or something coming on - that's what I'm doing now with all the smoke from the wildfires, it is causing throat irritation.

Ibuprofen and Diclofenac belong to a group of medicines called Non Steroidal Anti Inflamatory Drugs (NSAIDs) they have a very similar effect on platelets as Aspirin does and are contra indicated in ITP patients.

Groucho have you had a kidney stone before? I have and believe me the only thing that took away the pain was the pain med given me in the ED - the pain was so bad I wouldn't have been able to swallow anything! I only take tylenol - that's what I was told to do back in 1989. I did take baby aspirin to keep away blood clots when I had my knees replaced, actually that brought my count up.

And tylenol IS paracetamol - I had never heard of paracetamol so had to look it up:
" In general conversation, paracetamol is referred to as Tylenol, because that's the most well-known brand name for it. The USAN (United States approved name) generic name is acetaminophen. You find this on prescription and over-the-counter drug labels."

What if you are well over 150 in your latest count and you "need" to use Ibuprofen only temporarily? Like no more than once or twice to deal with whatever it is causing its usage.
