in my mind, it fits my story, lol.

over the years, people here have discussed candida as a cause of itp. some have burst an artery arguing against it.
regardless, i am convinced i have either a fungal or bacterial infection, but mostly believe its fungal.
so with that as a backdrop, lets move on. i'm going over in my mind what treatment i will choose, if, at my dental appointment in october my dentist asks to increase my count. i won't go through all my medical issues but i decided on ivig.

here's where the story takes an interesting turn. i googled "should you get an ivig infusion if you have a fungal infection".
to my amazement, there was nih article on it where they purposely innoculated mice with candida and then gave them ivig 7 days in a row. the candida was gone. i was thinking the opposite, thinking ivig was immunosuppressive.

now, i know some people have gone into remission after several rounds of ivig. could they have had an unknown fungal infection. i think this is quite amazing. am i original here, or has this exact mechanism been discussed here?
i'd loved to get some opinion and input.

It makes sense as IVIG is infusing immunoglobulin which is simply donated antibodies. Some of those antibodies will fight various fungi.
