Three weeks ago, my 30-year-old daughter, Carolyn, was admitted to the ER with a very low platelet count. It took us all by surprised. She had steroids and IVIG, neither of which worked. Today, we're getting WinRho. Tomorrow, we start four infusions of retuximab. Feeling scared. What's next? Where is this going?
Diagnosed in 2000, at 59, after being on moderately high doses of NSAIDs for arthritis. Splenectomy and rituxan both failed (2004). Did well on prednisone till summer 2018--then terrible reactions. Promacta since 11-19.
Thank you received: 55
