I have been diagnosed w/ ITP for 2 years now.... and I feel like I am not getting anywhere. I have tons of bruises everywhere and then red dots on my legs (that I didn’t have before) I keep dropping in my count. My doctors won’t do anything and I am feeling really frustrated.... I’m transferring to another doctor. But I feel stuck and just hurting, tired, and ugh.... blah.... does it take this long to finally figure out what is going on?

What all have you tried? What have counts gone up to while trying different things?

They are hundreds of questions I shall ask . like What has been your lowest counts ? What has been your count when you were diagnosed ? What has been your most serious bleeding event and what did it lead to ? How much was your counts by that time ?
How do you feel mentally ? How has itp effected your life ? What treatments have you ever tried for how long and what does ? What has been your average count while on each treatments ?

Instead , just forget these questions and assume it could be really worse ! I can name hundreds of dozens disease much more serious than itp could be ... I have itp for a year and was diagnosed at the age you were diagnosed and had been through a long journey . BUT , just remember what I said . We should be thankful to God about giving us such an "Painless and easy disease" . In fact , I am copying this from an anonymous man posting here on PDSA (that I don't remember his name ) .And remember , Chances are good (very good) that you get rid of this "while keeping your counts in a safe number by some form of tolerable therapy"
Good luck !
