The little guy decided he was ready!! My family and I welcomed Jaxon Wallace to the world on Monday May 16 at 6:26 pm. He came at 38 weeks so we were very surprised that 2 weeks ahead he weighed in at 10 pounds and 21.2 inches! Big boy! My platelets were checked at the time of arrival and sadly had dropped down from 92,000 to 51,000. My water had broken, contractions were hard and his heartbeat was hard to track on the fetal monitor so I had to deliver by c-section under general anesthesia. I am just so glad he is here and healthy.

Congrats!:) Too bad that you had to have anesthesia, but the most important thing is that you are both healthy. Are his platelets good?

Congrats again!

huge congratulations to you! way to go. The important thing is he's here and the birth is all done. The first 8 weeks are a bit tough (lack of sleep and recovery from the c-section) but it should get better after that. Don't be afraid to nurse him often - it makes everything so much easier! All the best to you!

Thanks everyone!! Jaxon and I are doing very well. His platelets are stable at 133,000 and mine today were 144,000!! He is nursing like a champion and is very good to me. I honestly couldn't be happier right now. I've added a picture of him for all to enjoy :silly: I can't believe he is a week old already!!
