I am currently 21 weeks into my second pregnancy. I was diagnosed with ITP when I was a teen, I am in my 30’s now and have been followed by my physician closely. During my first pregnancy I took prednisone and had two IVIG treatments to try and raise my platelet count which usually is around 30-60k. Unfortunately my count was unchanged dispite treatments. I ended up getting sedated with a c section for my first child and having 2 blood transfusions postpartum. I am looking for some new avenues to explore to raise my platelets during this pregnancy so that I can at least try for an edipural. My OBGYN needs my count to be at least 80k which has never happened. Any advise would be appreciated!!
