Hi all.I have been diagnosed with ITP few years ago, they are also monitoring me for Lupus but not been tested positive yet. i have a 12 week old daughter who I have been breastfeeding, due to a bad bleed after delivery my milk took a bit longer to come in so getting to 12 weeks and still BF is a major achievement for me,however my platelets are at an all time low n for the first time ever I am feeling poorly with it,I am covered in small red spots n bruises, I feel low and absolutely exhausted. i was wondering if anyone knows if it could be that my platelets are so low due to the added stress BF puts on the system, to produce milk n not getting much rest due to LO feeding often?
I am due to see my consultant this week but any advise would be welcomed in the meantime

I have no idea but I wanted to let you know that you do what you have to do. Let us know how your appointment goes with the consultant.

Best of luck to you - and congratulations on the birth of your precious daughter!
