hi, I am diagnosed of having ITP since 2009. the last attack was Jan 2012..I've read a lot of suggestion to use the Papaya Leaf extract and I did that and it really helped me a lot..

my only question is, Does anybody here knows if I can use papaya leaf still eventhough Im currently pregnant?

I would ask your doctor about that and then double check by researching it yourself.

Hey! I am wondering the exact same thing! I did find something on a livestrong website that suggests it may not be a good idea while pregnant. Could be toxic to the baby? Another site mentioned it might be linked to risk of miscarriage? But none of my doctors seem to know for sure. I really wanted to try the papaya leaf so I could attempt to avoid steroids. But now after reading those bits that say it may not be a good idea, I am thinking maybe I should just skip papaya and take the steroids, at least those effects on baby have been wodely studied and approved. Ugh. Such tough decisions. Have u learned anything more since your original post?please share any info!i would greatly appreciate it. Good luck! Meredith
