Drove down to Stratford on Avon on Friday night after school. Me, Dougie and Lol went to see A Comedy of Errors on Friday evening, then spent Saturday seeing all the various Shakespeare sites, then went to see Hamlet on Saturday evening before driving home. It was young persons week at the Royal Shakespeare Company, so the plays were shortened and adapted for kids, but still using the old language. The boys loved them (was a bit worried initially that they might not....). Such a brilliant way to learn Shakespeare - lots of sword fights, fake blood and smutty jokes!
