Phew - so glad you weren't exposed! And thankfully you and Steven have gotten 1 injection and your Mom both injections! We are with you - don't really like going out. The past 2 weeks we have enjoyed curbside pickup - 2 weeks ago it was from our very favorite Mexican restaurant and last week from our very favorite pizza restaurant - 1st time in over a year we have eaten anything but my cooking, it was heaven having those 2 dinners!!

I had to smile, even though it isn't funny, that you had some things go to storage that shouldn't have. That happened to us too and it was 4 years before we could get them :)

Our state is getting more cases etc - the state of Michigan should put up more restrictions but heaven forbid anyone's "rights" are imposed upon. It doesn't help that the young feel invincible and lots of older ones feel the vaccine puts trackers into their systems so won't get the vaccine - seriously I know 2 people that feel that way. And now J&J has been suspended here for a while. Our older son recently got his 1st vaccine, so glad it wasn't the 1 shot J&J.

mom to 3 - thank you for your thoughts on my eyes! I am really sure 4 years of pred had a lot to do with the arthritis I'm experiencing too. Things could be worse though. With my eyes I'm looking forward to seeing better, close up is driving me nuts right now, and I've always needed glasses for distance. Hope you get a good report when you see your eye doctor!!

mrsb - I just had to again cover the mini-rose plant and some others as we are getting below freezing overnight once more :( But we never really have a decent spring here AND we are not supposed to plant flowers until after our Mother's Day in May, sometimes I need dirt therapy before then and will plant 1 or 2 geraniums and cover them at night. Enjoy your pint! And I sure hope you get tadpoles!

Yeah, it was a bit scary! Unfortunately we have to go back to the service center to get our address changed. Not looking forward to that!
Mom, it seems we're missing more food than anything else. Nothing perishable, tho! That's what happens when many hands help with packing! I do appreciate the help, though.
I sure hope it doesn't take 4 years for us to find the stuff that's missing! However, a lot of what's in the unit is mum's and by the end, things were just being shoved wherever the guys wanted to put it. My brother, sister and I are going to have to spend some time going through her things this summer. I have no idea what he may want.
Good luck with your eye appointment, Mel.

Hope all went well when you went back to get your address changed Cindy! When is your 2nd vaccine?

Unfortunately the eye surgeons don't have an opening until the end of July and that is just for the office visit to be evaluated and surgery discussion, so that puts off cataract surgery until August - I am not a happy about this at all.

Cindy you mentioning food missing made me think of missed foods when overseas - on one of our home leaves I got together food and made an ocean shipment of things we missed (to send by air would have been a fortune), well my brain wasn't working right and I put in the box a large package of chocolate chips :) The box arrived in Tokyo and the chocolate chips had melted into one big hunk of chocolate :) :)

Hope you all are doing well!!

Hey, Mel, no, still haven't gotten our address changed. There was another possible positive case at the center we have to go to do it! We're both terrified to go there now. Can't do it on line. We'll have to get it done soon, though!
Still haven't found some of the food we're missing. Steven pulled some muscles, so he's pretty useless right now, so we haven't gone down to the storage unit to look.
The chocolate chips melting made me chuckle, but I know it wasn't funny. I can imagine the mess it made!
Still no idea on when we'll get our second shots. Every time we turn around, the time span changes! Right now, the government is concentrating on getting everyone their first shots. We'll just have to see what happens.
Too bad about the eye surgeons! Hopefully the time goes quickly!
All in all, we're not doing too bad. Still getting used to the new place.
