Got it - thanks! Wish we would get some kind of notice when someone does private message!

You take care now!! Stay healthy and I'll check my messages every now and then, you too!

Melinda
I got your latest reply but the message I sent you has completeIy disappeared.. agree a notification would be nice and the ability to delete a post when one inadvertently puts it up twice. x

Wonder why the message you sent me disappeared. It is a crazy feature when it won't let someone know they have a message.
And yes it is frustrating when a post on the forum cannot be deleted in cases like it getting posted twice.

A reason I'm MelA on the forum is because I got mad and deleted myself - when I decided to come back there was already a Melinda so couldn't use it.

Mel, when you and I were exchanging messages, I thought Jeff said he had put some kind of notification in so we would know when we (the plural we) got private messages. Maybe I misunderstood.

He did Cindy - I remember after we mentioned it to him he fixed it and we both got a message from him and an email saying we had a message. Guess it isn't working any more.

It has for a while Cindy - especially when all those scam threads popped up 3 months ago.
I'd put in a message in the Forum Information section but that has been locked so we can't do that.

Yeah, and haven't seen Jeff on in a while either. Sandi seems to have totally disappeared.

Cindy I just reported this thread to the moderator [whoever that is] and said the thread is OK! however we need to tell Jeff that once again we are not receiving notice that we have a private message.

A side note: We have been ordering online from our grocery store & my husband goes to pick it up [they bring it out to the car] - today we finally have salsa, have ordered it each time and they are out of it but this time finally we got salsa!! Tonight for dinner we are having tacos and I can't wait :)

There must be someone doing admin. When I got up this morning 7am UK time there was a new post advertising insurance in India. I reported it to moderator and it's gone

We haven't done any ordering on line yet. We suspended mum's home care and we are staying in. But when we do go out, we get what we need and back home. Wash our hands as soon as we get in and I have hand sanitizer in my pocket for while we are out.
I was just about to mention that about India, too, Mrs. B. Glad it's gone.

Thanks Anne and Cindy - maybe they will get the report and give it to Jeff so he can fix it again.
People are so rotten - for heavens sake with all that is going on in the whole world some idiot is trying to scam people. :(

Cindy those bags that are put in my husband's car without his help are brought from the car in the garage into the utility room which connects garage with house & put on the floor - he is wearing gloves to do this, I take the food out leaving the bags on the floor in the utility room - when food is in house hubby folds bags and puts in the garage for trash day. Gloves come off & hands are washed really well. He has sanitizer and a mask in the car just in case. Can't be too cautious!

That is so true, Mel! A paramedic out in Alberta had her gear stolen out of her car sometime last week. And there are scams galore going around here on how to get the money our PM has designated for those who have lost their jobs due to the virus. Canada banned the use of plastic bags and have pushed for us to use reusable ones and now the cashiers aren't allowed to pack them! We haven't been outside since last Friday, but we need food so we'll need to go out soon. Nobody delivers on the weekends, but most stores are offering curb side service, so we'll probably take advantage of that.

Hi there - sorry for the delay. I'm looking into this issue. Did you previously receive a notification by email? Or was it a notification on the discussion group itself.
You can always email me at webmaster@pdsa.org.
Thanks, Jeff Cooper

Jeff, I have "3 new connection requests" at the top of my page. Is this the same thing? It really does stand out and looks great!

Oh oh Jeff - sorry to say, that is gone from the top of my page :(

Cindy I don't [didn't] have anything like that - mine showed exactly as Jeff has circled in red in the above post, but it isn't there now.

The notifications should display Connection Requests as well as New Private Messages. Sounds like you have 3 pending Connection Requests.

Oh oh Jeff - sorry to say, that is gone from the top of my page :(

Nothing should appear if there are no new private messages or connection requests. I'll send you another PM so you can see if the notification reappears.
