Jeff - a question for you

How does someone know if they have received a message??

I just found, by accident, that someone sent me a message last month - nothing on this site informed me there was a message for me, and I didn't get an email saying there was a message for me.

Thanks!!

I agree with Mel. I just found a message from someone from 2017! I had no idea it was there!
There really should be some kind of notification about PM's.
Thanks.

I wonder why we've been locked out of the Forum Information thread. There's no place for new topics.
And no word from Jeff on this thread.

People kept putting in threads about their ITP and that wasn't what that section was intended for and their threads weren't being seen. I just now did a "Report to moderator" on my 1st post in this thread and mentioning that we needed a way to know when someone private messages us - hopefully it will get to Jeff and he can take care of the matter.

Hi there...

FYI - You can always email me at webmaster@pdsa.org too. :)

After much research, I may have repaired this issue. I will send some test private messages to the folks that I am connected to on the discussion group.

Please let me know if you have tested the system and have not received an email notification.

Thank you, Jeff Cooper

p.s. I was asked to lock the "Forum Information" topic because newbies were posting ITP topics to that topic by accident. Thank you.

Hi Jeff - thanks for responding! I did receive an email from the PDSA saying you wanted to make a connect with me and required my approval, and your short message.

Think it was smart to lock that forum information - too many new [and some old] members were putting questions in there about their ITP and lots didn't see those posts to help them. Thanks for all you do!

You are welcome. Thank YOU for reporting the issue with the discussion group in the first place.

It sounds like the email notifications are working now.

If you have other ideas for features in the future, please contact me via the discussion group or email.

I can't even look at my profile or see if there are any messages. Oddly it says I need to login if I try, and of course I am already logged in.

JJ, I go through this every time my computer does a major upgrade. It means you have to re-log into PDSA then re-log into the discussion group.

Oh how odd. I don't think I've ever signed into PDSA itself. Don't even know how to. I think I'll just have to continue the way I am. Thanks though.

I just had a look, there's no way to log in on the main page. Strange site. Not user friendly.
