Thanks, everyone. Even though we knew it was coming, it was hard to get that call from my brother. I'm glad that Steven and I went ahead and started making the arrangements. I am getting some of his ashes to keep.

We said good bye to Dad today. I can't say we buried him as he was cremated and will be buried with my mother. My brother and sister and I gave the tribute. It was hard, but I'm so glad we did it. Tomorrow I hope we have a quiet day and then sometime this weekend we will start moving mum in with us. I think tonight is going to be hard for me. My brother is out at my sister's to celebrate his son's birthday so I'm staying the night with mum. It is going to be a busy few weeks getting her over this and moving, but we will get through it.

Cindy I'm hoping all is going smoothly for you all - know it is not easy for any of you.

(I still talk to my folks. I buy chocolate covered marshmallow eggs at Easter because my Daddy liked them so much - tell him it's his fault I'm getting fat ;) )

Mum will be moved in with us by the end of next week. We called today to change the name on the bill for the tv and internet and phone. She wants to keep her number, after all, she's had it for 58 years! It's hard to believe he's been gone for a week today. Mum is holding up pretty good, all things considered. I'll be so happy when she's in with us, tho. No more running between apartments.

Well, last night was mum's first night here in the new apartment. It will take time for all of us to adjust and get used to each others ways. I know it was hard for her to walk down the hall from her place to here and I felt so bad for her. We have to get the old place cleaned out by July 1st and that only gives us a week now. We've got most of the big stuff moved in, but there is still a lot we have to do. I feel like we're pushing her too early; first she loses her husband then her home! :( But we'll figure things out!

Cindy, you're a brave girl! I can't imagine the disruption, sadness, and anxiety you must be experiencing. I hope you can settle, your Mom can be peaceful & you get some time to recover from all this.
