There might be a walk-a-thon event coming soon to a support group near you. Watch the PDSA Site for announcements of events in your area.

Jennifer,
Please do put it on your calendar, we've got GREAT things planned. We just secured rooms at a wonderful resort Olympia Resort ( www.olympia.com ) and the Hilton Garden Inn, so those who would like to make a weekend of it, can enjoy what Oconomowoc has to offer. Gather your friends and family and join us...we've got entertainment planned. Help us raise funds for PDSA and for ITP patients.

Oconomowoc is conveniently located between Madison and Milwaukee, WI - In beautiful lake country and the Kettle Moraine - More than 50,000 acres of glacial hills, kettles, lakes, prairie restoration sites, pine woods and hardwood forests can be found. Beautiful location for a 5k, hope to see you there.

Sounds like a wonderful idea. Wish I could attend, but being in Australia, it is really hard to get to events which are held in other Countries.

Kim, sound like a wonderful event.

Since PDSA has put up links into facebook, they have 1300+ members. You might see check to see if the some one at PDSA headquarters could utilze ITP People administrator id and post the event to spread the word.

Kim, I have started to recruit family and friends to join us! :-) It should be great. Do you know, do we register the kids as well? (Like do I sign Isaac up separately or does he just join my husband and I?

I am so excited!!!

Jennifer,
Kids under 12 free -- yahoo and if you get sponsors and raise $150, the registration fee is waived. You'll need to register up front and pay, we'll refund the registration fee. We have a registration page created, but still waiting for some details and other stuff from PDSA. I'll post as soon as I have information.

Bunnie,
We'll post it on the PDSA sites as soon as we confirm all the details. Just wanted to make sure anyone who is interested in attending, saves the date.

Hope to see as many of you as possible -- Wisconsin is wonderful in the fall and Oconomowoc is beautiful.
