New update from Steve's brother:

Steve is doing a lot better. He's really "out of the woods" now. The stroke obviously caused substantial damage -- he still has trouble speaking and can't say more than one or two words. He has no control over his right side. But, he's doing much better than he was 4-5 weeks ago. In another 10 days or so, they plan to move him into Neuro Rehab, where he will do full time rehab on his various issues. How that will progress is anyone's guess at this point.

His wife asked me to pass along her thanks for the cards.

I'm so glad to hear that Steve's making progress! I can't wait until he's back online. I miss him, even miss hearing how much warmer it is in AZ than in MN.

Thanks for keeping us up to date on Steve's progress. It's good he's going to rehab, that will be a long road for him, but a good inpatient rehab center does a bang up job. I know when I was in rehab after the transplant, they were fantastic. I'm sure his rehab team will be great and he'll work to gain as much of his old self back.

I've been meaning to e-mail his brother...I just don't want to be a pest. I'm sure at this point it's just slow progress and pretty much the same. I will ask though.
